ezgo stops when I push the pedal all the way

I have a ezgo 36v golf cart that just started when you push the pedal all the way down it will stop. if you bring it back up about a 1/3 it will go. so if you hold your foot there it will run but as soon as you put it all the way down it stops. does it in forward and reverse.
Need some help where to start looking. I know the batteries are good.

Sounds like you have a marathon, and the 0-5k throttle sensor has started going above 5k when at full throttle. This can likely be adjusted, but the problem will likely return. You can unplug and check the #2 & #3 wites at the controller. I bet you will find the reading well above 5k ohms at full throttle.

At the end of the accelerator pedal linkage, under the seat, between the batteries.

Looks like a 2002 yr TXT but, you already know that if you went to the link I posted above. THe problem still is that the signal is likely going over the range the controller can read for this particular setting... which is ITS if the cart is a 2002.

ITS is a type of throttle signal device used in all Ezgo TXT 1994 and up. It stands for inductive throttle signal.
You are going to have to do some real diagnosis if you wish to fix the cart on your own. GO here the first link I posted in this thread for you and positively identify the year and model of your golf cart.
Then go to this stickie I posted on throttle testing and read and follow the test for your particular throttle type here > http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...e-testing.html
