What's the difference in these two carts?
Looking at a couple carts to purchase and both are in fantastic condition with 0 frame or battery pan rust. I may convert one to 48 volt as s hunting cart...
Anyway, one is a 1996 txt series and is the "4 Caddy" model (printed on the side of the cart. The other is a 2002 txt series cart "Shuttle 2+2" model. What do the model designations mean? Would either model be ok for conversion the a hunting cart? Again both are in pristine condition with not a hint of rust and have been garage kept and used very little. Both are same cost to me Thanks for any help. |

Re: What's the difference in these two carts?
The " shuttle" is a factory built 4 passenger cart. Also means it never saw fleet duty and is NOT a converted golf cart. Some of these came with factory lights, an upgraded 400amp controller and a "high speed motor". Take a picture under the seat and we can tell about the controller. Look in the driver side cubby and see if there is a small plate riveted in there. Tell us what it says. This is a TXT model and has a plastic body.
Not sure about the 4 caddy but likely an earlier version of the same thing, though it looks to be a Medalist model with a metal body. Other than the body materiel the carts are mostly the same. There could be electrical differences----see post #2. |

Re: What's the difference in these two carts?
OK the chart sort of helps. It does have the traditional F&W lever AND a "tow run" switch. That makes it a sepex drive and a DCS but the flow chart says that is up to 2000. The seial number says its a 2002 model.
Anyhoo, If it is the sepex drive-DCS, how does it compare to the other cart which is a series drive? Again with consideration that they would be converted to 48 volts and made into torque hunting carts. |

Re: What's the difference in these two carts?
It can't be a 2002 DCS. So it may be the odd ball that Alltrax can't match. You should get the controller make & model # on that one.
