It is! Hunter's note made me go look at the pic again. I thought it was 600v.... That is definitely 60v automotive and you will see the SAE stamped there too.

It will definitely work, just over the long haul may breakdown the sheathing....

The J1127 standard is an SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) standard. Rest assured that if that cable meets SAE standards, it will take anything a golf cart can throw at it. Upgrade away!

Can someone explain, electrically, what a 500 amp controller does vs a stock controller. To be sure there isn't a 500 amp draw on the system? From what I can tell the 2g wire I installed is rated for 100 amps.

It will work, but it is BIG cabling...

I do have 1/0 on my batteries and 2 awg for the motor and controller.

A 3.3HP uses 2500 watts at cruising speed. That is equal to 50 amp at 50 volts. Of course it has a higher amp draw starting off from a standstill and accelerating but that is only for a short period of time.
