Default Parking Brake will not Engage

2014 Club car Precedent model JE

I can’t get the parking brake to engage
I removed and replaced the brake pedal assembly about a year ago - everything worked fine - until recently.
I checked the cable tension adjustment and made sure it was within the 2 inch spec.
I lifted up the pedal group assembly - all looks good on the brake side - I did notice an arm on the inside of the go pedal reference (15) see attachment that looked worn, could this part be bad and not allowing the parking brake to engage.
Can you order just that part, and is it difficult to remove. Thanks.

Do your brakes work normally aside from the parking brake?

Must be something with the catch or the release linkage to the Go pedal. I’d pull the pedal box and have a look.

Make sure your GO pedal is returning all the way (no acorns or rocks stuck between the pedal arm and the pivot housing).
Also make sure the box where the brake pawl is located isn't full of sand or dirt and that the brake pawl moves freely.
