Default Yamaha G16E controller?

Trying to troubleshoot a Yamaha 1998 G16E 36 volt golfcart, runs for a while then slows, then quits. You let it rest(cool off) then you go again, battery pack good(load tested-2 yrs old)replaced solenoid with correct one(had cheaper one on) help please,

Controller is probably shot. Very typical of those controllers. I had the same problem in a similar one, and replaced it with an alltrax.

If you decide to go cheap and not upgrade to Alltrax, I have a functioning G16 controller I’ll sell you for cheap - I just upgraded my cart with a 48V conversion.

Alltrax SR48300 for stock performance. SR48400 or SR48500 for lifted or high performance applications.

Another question...same cart,I connect my volt meter to batteries while driving (when it moves)starts off at 38.3 stand still, then when it drives, voltage goes to zero,I have done this in my ezgo, kinda load test while driving,Ezgo goes to 35.5 etc,but this Yamaha drops completely to zero? What's up?

Probably a bad connection on your multimeter or horrible batteries. But even if the batteries are weak they shouldn’t go completely to zero or you wouldn’t be moving.
