Adding a Battery Monitor Volt Meter
I just recently got my first Electric cart and the PO had previously added a volt meter/battery monitor to the outside front of the battery compartment, but never wired it. I want to wire it to an Ignition hot wire within the battery compartment.
Can anyone help me out identifying what wire is hot from the key switch within the battery compartment. Thanks, for the help. It is a 2009 YDRE/Drive model. Derrick |

Re: Adding a Battery Monitor Volt Meter
The back side of the on/off switch should have two wires, I believe one is red and the other one is red w/white stripe. The red w/white stripe should be the hot wire when the cart is turned on. This is the wire you would attach to the "C" post. If you have a volt meter you can read the voltage. The =/- posts need direct wiring from the battery compartment.
