Default Modifieng the govenors

In no way am I saying "don't mess with the govenor". It is your car and do what ever you want. Please check out CPP's "high speed govenor spring". They do work. They also sell many more fine upgrades. Please be advised....Tom and the fine staff at CPP will sell a refigerator to an Eskimo With an ice maker!

I for one bypassed the gov., and am very pleased with the results. You do have to rely on your ear or get a tach. running it at top speed for more than 15 or ?? seconds, but it makes for an exciting ride. Engine life is a gamble tho.

The down side, is letting someone with out "the good ear" drive it. Could bring it back in pieces, driping oil!!

You should never let someone borrow your cart

especialy if they are teanager or drunk visitors

I have seen lots of fliped carts even bent frame & all sort of weird accident

from people who borrow carts at the camprground think they are tanks

I have an MSD on my sand rail, been there so long I can't remember how much I paid for it!

Im researching this now and will update once I find something... My thought is if someone, a friend, is wanting to ride the cart you could adjust the rev limiter on the fly to limit their speed...???

Great Idea but not sure it wouldnt bounce off the limiter and cause engine damage by turning spark off and on unless it regulated throttle instead of spark.
Jus wonder'in......

I have a special removeable nail that mounts under my gas pedal and fits through a hole in the gas pedal specially designed for anyone that borrows my cart.
