Default ez go cart

I have an 1982 ez go cart modle82B30251378. It charges up and the lights work but after I parked it a yesterday, I went to use it today and when i press the peddle it will not do anything. I have checked the batteries and they are in working order and the lights work. Nothing happens at all whe the peddle is pressed to go.

Check your solenoids. First one is probably bad.

Check the voltage on your battery pack. You may have enough to power the lights but not the cart.

When nothing happens like this it could be a bad battery pack or battery back connection.... Tug and twist all the cables a bit to ensure they are still solidly connected & clean any corrosion.......

If it still won't go try installing a short battery cable across the 2 large terminals of the solenoid. The cart should run. If it does then you have either a bad solenoid or a bad solenoid activation circuit....

the activation circuit consists of a positive and a negative 36v to the small posts on the solenoid...

use your voltmeter to determine if the activation circuit is complete when the peddle is pressed.......

Put the cart on jack stands for the above tests ...... Good Luck & welcome to BGW!
