Default 85 Marathon motor test

I have an 85 Marathon that I was told just needed batteries. I am trying to determine how untrue that is. The cart itself is in rough shape and the resistor is shot. The coup de grace will be if the motor is no good but I have been unable to figure out how to jumper test it with a battery. I see the diagram but it does not look like my motor. I have attached a photo of my motor. Can anyone tell me how the A's and S's map to my motor.

Yes I did break the post off terminal 0 when removing the cable.

Thanks
