I am in love with the G5/G3 sun classic!!!
I think I am in love. The sun classic G3/G5 is just beautiful! How hard to find are these carts and how much can one expect to pay for one that needs work?

Re: I am in love with the G5/G3 sun classic!!!
I have had 2 G3s, I paid little for one and the other was given to me because it needed batteries & nobody wants them around here anymore. ???
The first one had a zippy 2 stroke in it and the second was electric. The G5 is bigger and possibly a better fit depending upon your size. Good Luck in your search. |

Be carefull with Sunclassic's....only running gear parts are still available. No body parts/windsheilds ect. But I would like to find one and BigBlock it, "targa top" it, like a "speedsteer" Good luck, I hope you find one in great shape.

Re: I am in love with the G5/G3 sun classic!!!
Thanks guys. Cart prices around me are very high, a late 90s Club Car electric will go for $4000 with good batteries!!! Crazy! I am a little worried about over paying for a Sun Classic though. The cops are on my *** about driving my G1 to a friends house in my small subdivision. Apparently since the street going in the neighborhood is state maintained, highway laws apply in the neighborhood. Madness!

Hey StevesJ,
My neighbor has a Sun Classic that he may want to sell. I see that your also in NC like us. Let me know if your interested. Its in really great condition. Nice stereo and real nice wheels/tires. He also built a cargo box on the back that is removable. Here are some pics. Thanks, Scott |

Re: I am in love with the G5/G3 sun classic!!!
The most I can afford for anything right now would be $500, so I know he won't sell it that cheap. The money is going for a lift kit for my G1 -- Jakes 6 inch and a set of rims and tires

Yea, $500 is way less than he wants for it. The wheels and tires were more than $500. I'm not sure what he wants for it, but he did say to let him know if anyone makes an offer.

Re: I am in love with the G5/G3 sun classic!!!
Yeah I understand, its a very nice cart. I am just saving up now for the parts to make my G1 off-roadable since the fuzz got on my case and said I can't ride it in the nieghborhood anymore... guess I'm walking to my friends house now, just when the temps are hitting 90 too. lovely. Oh well, its gonna be tons of fun off road
