What Rabbit said x 2. That being said, if you are looking to learn metalwork, then that is your cart.
If you are really set on that cart, then I would spend the time of stripping it down and taking it to someone that does soda blasting to see what the extent of the damage is. Good Luck, post lots of pics. |

Come on it's not that bad
A little TLC (and surgery) and she will be looking good. The main part of the frame is in decent shape, though it looks bad. |

I have a brother and 2 great friends that are welders, so I know I can get the teaching. Now I just need a welder (they all have one but I hate borrowing).
So I'm going against the odds and going to try to revive this thing. |

use a ball joint seperator (aka Pickle fork) to seperate the ball joint from the steering arm.

UPDATE:
After many many hours of welding and grinding. and many hours of sanding. ans a nice coat of rustoleum. Now If I can just remember how to put it all back together |
