No. I tried it several times with the same results.

Re: EZ GO diagnostic flowchart
I've really got to get into using the iPhone for this forum. In the last several days I've put about 50 miles on between the shop and this desktop computer.

Re: EZ GO diagnostic flowchart
couple pages back, didn't you discover that your Diode was on backwards? It could be a blown solenoid. not really sure why the DVM would make it run though......

Re: EZ GO diagnostic flowchart
So the DVM is completing a circuit that the solenoid is not?

Re: EZ GO diagnostic flowchart
ok I have to step out for a bit.... I'm at a complete loss as to why the cart will run with a DVM set for testing voltage on the solenoid, but won't run when it's off the solenoid..... I hate to say it, but it could be a bad solenoid right out of the box. Maybe try reinstalling the original that you removed? If you touch it to it and it starts running, does it quit running as soon as you remove the test probe or does it keep going until you release the pedal?

Re: EZ GO diagnostic flowchart
Thanks everybody - rabbit and scotty especially.
Now begins the fun work of digging into the mechanicals to check brakes, rear end fluid, grease fittings, etc. I had already replaced all of the bushings on the leaf springs and dump bed as they had rotted completely out and it was metal to metal - no damage though. |

Re: EZ GO diagnostic flowchart
I'm glad you got it running... my next option was to ask you to load it on a trailer and bring it to my shop..... I'm a little over an hour away from you and if it continued the way things were going I was fearing that it was gonna require a more in depth look at the electrical system......
