Default Installing light kit on 1988 Club Car

I started installing my light kit last night. The rear was easy to figure out, but i can't figure out where to line up the template to mark to cut the headlight holes. I've moved the template around trying to find the places, but can't see it. Anyone have any tips or advice? I'd appreciate it.

Most of the headlight kits only fit the 94 and up. The bodies changed somewhere in those years. Ask me how I know ? LOL Had to buy a newer style front nose after cutting the heck out of mine only to find out later that the noses are shorter in the light area on the early ones......

I am trying to install a lighting kit on a 2005 Club Car DS IQ. I am having thee same problem. I lay out the template to the body lines but the body wraps around the side and curves down thus the template does not lay flat on the body it wants to bunch up when wraping around the side. HELP
