Default trouble with f/r switch

I have a 95 EZ-GO with a lift and bigger tires that my son(11) drives and uses and his police vehicle. He is not very easy on it to say the least.
Here is my problem, last year the F/R switch went out and I replaced it with nivel part# 5799. Now the thing is acting up again, the lower wire connection is getting hot and melting the terminal where the wire connects. Is this from his driving or could the wires need to be replaced when I replace the F/W switch again

When you change to bigger tires you are changing the final drive gear ratio. This increases the load on the electric motor. In turn the motor demands more amperage to turn the bigger tires. The higher amperage requires an upgraded system to flow through. You need;
bigger controller, bigger solenoid, bigger cables, HD F&R.
Nivels HD F&R is only a small bit better than stock.
My Custom F&R has never been burnt up or melted down that I know of.
Higher amperage flow can create more heat. If there is a restriction or bottleneck in the flow it will create heat. That heat will eventually cause failure. The same is true for a loose or corroded connection.

Scottyb can you send me some part numbers for the upgrades for a 95 EZ-GO? I put the HD F/R switch on from nivel but it didn't last very long. If you have better stuff I am interested!!!!

I have been to your site and it is very helpful. Thank you for your help.
Can I order just the cam for the F/R switch that I have? I also clicked on the 13pc. 4g cable set to add to cart and it keeps saying 2g set in my cart???
I will most likely call when I order to make sure I get the correct ones.
