My original cables looked good, but I got better torque when I upgraded cables.
I've got a PDS and it would hit the max speed limiter with the old cables, but it got there quicker with the new ones.

There was only $30 difference in price, so I went with 2Ga.
wondering who all would see that

I've been wondering what that is, it was like that when I picked it up.

What is it? What was fixed?

actually looks like the cables on the batts are 4ga, but the other cables looks smaller.. some mistakenly only replace only the batt cables when on a series cart. all 13 need to be the same gauge when replaced. just do 2ga. and be done with it. you might even feel a seat of the pants boost. i did. congrats on moving again!

Definately do the 2 guage if you are gonna upgrade in my opinion. I just did that, got just a tad more speed but lots more torque along with the 400 amp controller. Have fun, I have enjoyed your thread.

Interesting...

I'm so deep in already I may just do the 4ga on the rest for now. I'll switch out to 2 when I go 48 - that's not happening until these batteries are dead though. Need to take a break on the checking account

ScottyB - you out there? Breaker Breaker 1-9... Can you set me up with the rest of the cables I need in 4ga? come back..

Electric carts are all about rolling resistance. Make sure brakes aren't dragging----at all. Jack up front of cart and check front tires spin freely. If not replace/repack bearings. On some tires the pressure can make a 1-2 mph difference. Try 20-22psi or more. Check with GPS. Free speed!

Can that be right?

Brakes have to be fine, I can move it on my garage floor with a hip bump.
