I noticed it started in the middle ( I used search ), so just go to the top of the page for all the info.

If those guys had read the Owner's manual instead of, or in addition to, the Service manual, they might have found out that pedal up regen braking only slows the cart, or at least attempts to slow the cart, to 8MPH.

I don't recommend it, but in an emergency such as total brake failure, flip the rocker switch to R. That will RAPIDLY slow it down to 2MPH while launching the passenger over the dash and impaling the driver on the steering column.

I thought about the speed sensor, that's why I put the "if the cart is getting up to about 13MPH on level ground" qualifier in my comment about it might be a bad controller.
But, you might be right....

Even if the home-brewed J2 jumpers didn't work, it should have gone into the max downhill speed regen braking in any mode it was in.

Getting back to the speed sensor. It occurred to me that 8MPH is almost 13KPH and the OP did get MPH and KPH mixed in an earlier post.

Does anybody know what speed a PDS cart will run at if the speed sensor is bad? All it says in the manual is that "Vehicle runs slowly" and doesn't give an actual speed.

@ Meash:
Try unplugging the speed sensor (J5 - 3-pin plug near bottom as shown on attached drawing)

If the cart still acts the same going downhill, try repairing/replacing the speed sensor and magnet disk.

Also, try running in diagnostic mode. Bad speed sensor is a 1-3 beep code.
