Default 84 club car clicking only

I aquired a 84 club car, I have installed all new batteries and when the key is on and you press the gas pedal, all you here is a click. I am not sure where to go with this, not use to an electric golf cart. It was setting in the weeds behind a neighbors house for years.

well you have 5 solenoids and if only 1 is clicking that means 4 are not working for 1 of 3 reasons, either they are bad, the microswitches that activate them are bad or some of the wiring is bad.........in that order as far as i,m concerned so 1st jack the rear up and the furthest left solenoid is the master.......jump the large post on it and turn the key on put in gear and slowly press pedal.......it should click one time but no wheel spinning as you press pedal pay attention to what solenoid clicks and if wheels start turning...........if this happens i suggest you buy all 5 and replace them .........post results and if needed we,ll go from there..............................

yeah thats an old cart and been sitting too. replace all the micro switches and solenoids and youll be good to go, literally. I jsut replaced all solenoids and microswiches in an 86. fixed the non moving and the not reaching top speed sometimes issues.

solenoids can also click and still not be working. my advice is buy all 5 solenoids and Micro switches. Will set you back about 140 for all of it thru GolfCartKing on Ebay. But youll have trouble free opeariton minus the motor for decade or more
