98 elec EZ-go NEW CONTROLLER jumps forward but not go

I have installed new brushes in this electric 98 ez-go txt 36v, maybe 6 mos ago. replaced the controller 2x & the machine jumps forward then refuses to move. It WILL work off load jacked up, but not on the ground. Has a new solonoid also. The reverse beep works- all the time?? Checked wires, all voltages @ controller are good, batteries up to 37.5V. It originally did worked, but I found a bad wire from solenoid to controller - replaced wire then the controller, tried 2nd controller still NG. HELP!

After it jumps and stops, does it sound like the motor is still running? Stripped splines on a rear hub can give you the symptoms described.

Does the reverse beeper actually sound all the time or does it just sound all the time it is supposed to?

What is the voltage between M- and B+ when cart is misbehaving and pedal is on floor?
Ought to be close to full battery pack voltage.

37.5V (80% SoC) is enough for troubleshooting, but I'd charge those batteries. Letting them sit partially charged is hazardous to their health.

If it's a series cart have you looked at the F/R switch? When my reverse beeper was on in forward or reverse and the cart would not move the F/R switch was my problem. I tightened the nut on the pivot shaft and it took care of my problem. Wish I could be of more help but that's about all I have.
