In my opinion you could run Johnson's Baby Oil, Wesson, or SuperMega Synthetic. The Diff just isn't going to wear out, given the light loads, and limited use that these carts get...

I'm actually running Royal Purple Synth 10w30 in mine.
Seriously?? I blew the rear diff in my Marathon up like a month after I installed a Honda clone in it. It was dry as a bone.... looked to me like it had never had oil in it at all.

Paid $3500 for 08 Precedent 12 volt bats (it was already gone over by a dealer with new wheels and body at that price), converted to 8 volts for $900, new Alltrax 500dcx for about $575 and new high speed/torque GE1163 motor for about $575 and a HD solenoid for about $100, so total about $5,650. Oh yea, and a winter golfing cover for about $275, great for golfing in cold weather

Feelin pretty good about my 96 Club Car turned hunting buggy after reading this thread. Paid a guy $2100 for it three years ago right after he put a lift kit,new controller, new wires, new carlisle knobbies, camo paint, winch (harbor freight special) and top and rear racks. His wife took a new job and he had to move to a new house without room for his "toys" so I got it before he ever even got to use it! Till now, my only repair has been front wheel bearings for around 30 bucks and now a set of batteries for $600+

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the 6 bucks I spent getting custom decals that say "silent assassin" on the side.

It gets me almost anywhere without any noise. The perfect hunting vehicle!!!

67 this is why you need to start your build thread! That total is $2,349, but you say the total is $4,000 so far. Explain yourself sir.

got to do a top end kit, cold air intake, full lenght shocks front&rear , new driven clutch , cranks seals, 1" shorter belt. im sure i missed a few things. i havent really sat down and added everything up. does labor count? plus i painted the top and supports too. maybe im way off. it shouldnt matter how much it cost as long as you like your cart.

I agree, but some people worry about how much money they put into something, so they can brag about it later.

im poor white trash. it took me 4 months to redo it the way it looks now paycheck to paycheck. no bragging here. i know my old cart will never be worth what i will have into it when i finish buying the rest of the parts i need. heres a pic of what i started with.

Is this going to be the featured cart in the thread that you're going to start tomorrow?
