Default Oh $%#@ i did it now!

So got a 3/4'' bolt to remove the drive clutch. Rushing as usual and threw a couple sockets down the hole to act as filler rod.(trick I read some where) Threw the impacket gun on the bolt and let her have it .Backed it off and on a few times hoping it would pop. No luck. Figured I would spray some more penetrant in and let it set for a bit and try again later. Pulled the first socket out and went for the next socket.......wouldnt fall out. Hmmmm.....Looked in and low and behold the end of the socket was destroyed. All mushroomed out and cracked up. Oh great. How the @#$^ am I going to get that out so I can do it right like I should have and put a rod in.

You can try to hydraulic it, you fill the hole with grease and run the bolt in
with Teflon tape on it.

Thats a dandy idea doomsman. I guess the worse I could do is just get a steel rod like I should have and go nuts. Plan on getting new clutches but I would like not to have to cut it off. Kinda plan on getting a couple parts carts I know of and building another cart out of spare parts.

Is the socket wedged in there Islandguy? You could try a magnet... get one of those high power pick up magnets on an extendable handle?

The socket in there is smashed up enuff that it wont slid out. It catches on the threads of the clutch. Well I guess thats not totaly true. It did hit the threads on the clutch............until I stripped the threads out of the clutch. Im not sure what I will do now. Looking like a cut job.
