Default k&n for marathon?

Hey guys just wanted to know what size the air inlet is on the carb? Im thinking of putting a k&n on it and doing away with the stock set up. With the price of these stock filters it will be cheaper in the long run. I dont think I will have to rejet it because it seems to be running rich anyway where is the best place to order a k&n? It would be nice if another marathon owner had a part number for a fellow marathon owner lol. I would like to have the cartridge type that bolts on to the carb thanks guys

on my 85 i went to advance auto and got one of those short cone shaped cleanable filters thats low profile but like 6 inches round in size..it was almost as much as the k&n but the same pricipal.
it seemed to make a lil difference..it came with a bunch of rubber and plastic reducers iirc..then i took out my 2 stroke "6 inchx 7or8 inches tall, then used a 2 inch or so plastic water pipe to make it attch to since it went over the original "stub"that sticks up after you remove the original canister..it worked out well but dont remember the size of the pipe..
it all barely fit with a full size battery in there but it did
if need be i can get pics later
