Default 2010 CC Precedent limp mode?

Hi

Today l drove approx 1 mile without a problem until l started my trip back home.

Keep in mind that my batteries are 6 months old. 875 Trojans and they are fully charged and the water level is fine.

On the way back l was only able to go less then 10 mph even down a steep hill.

When l got back l put it into reverse and it felt normal and was as fast as it should be.

I also have the speed code 4.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Alan

Read the sticky about the speed sensor test and post results.

Hi

I did read the sticky but it didn't mention anything about reverses!

Thanks

Kingman I own a 2007 Precedent and heads up SPEED SENSOR mine was doing the samething and I asked the same question about reverse.
I ordered a new spped sensor took it for a spin back to 18mph with stock everything but lift and tires on my ride. I just bought another stock controller from a BGW member with speed code 4 (price was good) so I can't wait till it comes in to see what speed I will get with code 4.
To answer your reverse question yes it stays same speed

That's because it's irrelevant to the test. Reverse is always in Limp-Mode. What does your car do when you push it?

Hi

I didn't push it l just let it roll in "F" down a hill.

The switch by the batteries is in run.

Even though it is a2010 it was a demo sitting in a country club. It is brand new even underneath.

Thanks

Ok, it should have beeped and engaged motor braking. Speed sensor bad!
