Battery additives
Has anyone tried adding a battery additive to revive failing batteries? Additives claim to neutralize the sulphur buildup and potentially restore battery life. For example - amazon.com/Liquid-Solution-Refurbish-Batteries

Re: Battery additives
Try pouring it on your money and if it makes it multiply, that will tell you how good it will work in your batteries. Same principle, just money instead of batteries. In 50 years of being a grease monkey, I've never seen things like that work.
You may have a better chance with one of the new batterycharger/desulfators (sp.) than the stuff you are looking at. You can use the charger for other things also. Gene |

Re: Battery additives
Modern Day Snake Oil! Or worse. I strongly recommend that you never add anything but distilled H20 to your batteries EVER.

Re: Battery additives
I can say I've had pretty good luck with battery desulfators. I've gotten longer run times and long battery life. I've used the battery life saver on a few carts and it works pretty well. Unfortunately, I don't keep carts long enough to see how it works over the long term.
I had purchased a cart from someone who desulfated the batteries during the winter. The Trojans were 10 years old and ran really well. I wish I could not drive my cart long enough so I could put the batteries on a desulfator long term. Doug |
