09' Precedent Lights on 6 x 8 volt system
I ordered a light kit with voltage reducer for my 48 volt (6 x 8b batteries) 09" Club Car Precedent. All videos online show install for the 4 x 12v battery systems. Which number battery do the two blue short leads go to and then where do the fuse leads connect? The control box isn't located beneath a panel like the video shows. It is on the back plate in the battery compartment. Right now there is a short blue lead on the + side of the #1 battery but I think that may be wrong, and there is a short blue wire on the + side of the # 5 battery and I think that may be wrong. I have connected the wiring harness to the Voltage reducer and the voltage reducer to the existing harness in the dash and the two switch wires to the switch, but am having problems with the fuse lead because I don't know where to hook them up. Please Help.

Re: 09' Precedent Lights on 6 x 8 volt system
Batt #1 should be your 48v pos and batt #6 should be your negative. The blue wire on batt #5 is prob 16v in case you want to go without the 48v reducer.
I would need to see pics or diagram of your reducer to advise how to connect. |

16V will give you almost zero lamp life. However, you can knock four volts off with a power zener and run your lamps on 16V (two batteries) That said, I would use a 48 V to 12V reducer.

Why would you say zero lamp life? They are automotive lamps and I've had more then one car alternator put out between 14-15 vdc all the time.
