Default stop n go

I have a 2003 Club Car. Recently replaced old batteries with new batteries, full charge. Sometimes, not always when I start the golf cart up, and put it in either forward or reverse and step on accelerator, the car does not move. I try again and doesn't move then again and it does move. Sometimes when I'm driving the golf cart it starts to slow down, Sometimes after driving it a while, and I stop, then start up again it doesn't move. Any suggestions as to what would cause this?
