97 battery/charger wiring
In an earlier post I said I had installed all new batteries and I now had 5 batts at 8.5v and 1 batt at 5.8v and thought it may have to do with the voltage reducer drawing it down. I think I may have found my problem. The red wire that goes to the charger recept was hooked to the negative terminal on battery #1 instead of the positive. This is the batt that was the 5.8v. Would that make sense that batt #1 wasn't getting charged then and thats why it was so low volts? Dumb mistake by me.

Re: 97 battery/charger wiring
Wow, I doubt it charged any of them...
I bet it fried the #1 battery since it was getting positive voltage through the negative terminal. Charge wire should be hooked to main positive of pack. Hook it up correctly, and see if it charges. |
