Disconnect the batteries, remove the bolts holding the motor in, slide the motor back and rest it on the diff. You don't even need to take the motor wires off, or the motor out of the cart. If you have a rear seat you'll have to do this from under the cart.

Clean off the diff output shaft. I use spray grease on the output shaft, then slide the washer on, then the spring, then the splined washer, and then the coned shaped rubber bushing on the shaft. Slide the motor back on, and tighten 'er up.

AM10039 kits are for motors that don't have the guide ring on the end. You kinda gotta take the motor out to check which you need

Haha I used it too in a 99 but it had a ge d380 in it...
