Re: Reprogram speed code 4
. . . I think the $65 fee is a bit much for the 10 minutes work . . . however, if the dealer chargers $65/hr or any part of an hour for labor, that would explain the fee . . . not good customer relations, but it is THEIR shop . . . my local CC dealer charges about $105 for the speed code 4, which includes the CC fee . . .

Re: Reprogram speed code 4
My local dealer charges $75 for code 4. That's a bargain for a minimum 5 mph increase in a cart.

Re: Reprogram speed code 4
Cart trader where in FL are you? I have a programmer and would be willing to do it for free if you are close to SW FL. However like another poster already mentioned I have never seen a controller revert back to code 3 after being programmed. The sticker with the 3 codes should have the serial number on it that matches the controller serial number. But even so I have seen people so desperate that they change the stickers.

Re: Reprogram speed code 4
Cart trader, I understood you perfectly...your brain is fine. I would have taken the 90 seconds and set the code for free...A happy customer is a repeat Customer!!! :-)

Re: Reprogram speed code 4
$65 is probably the hourly rate and they are charging 1hr minimum. I don't think its out of line. Its pretty standard around here

Re: Reprogram speed code 4
Well, the dealerships here in Louisiana want to charge $100 to input the code, and $150 to buy the codes from Club Car
When I called Club Car they told me the codes are free to authorized dealerships, if done ONLINE Who is the liar Club Car, or the dealerships Dale D |

Re: Reprogram speed code 4
Code 4 isn't free for anyone. I think codes 1-3 are free

Re: Reprogram speed code 4
I have always heard that codes 1-3 are free to have programmed by a dealer, and code 4 costs $100 to have ordered and installed...
By the way that is how my dealer does it. |
