You will need to get a CC Powerdrive charger to communicate with the OBC to charge the cart. A Powerdrive 1 would have come with this cart in 1998.

Honestly, I'm not sure, but from what I understand, only Powerdrive chargers made by CC work with the OBCs on 48v carts.
But I also know that those PD chargers are made by Lester, so maybe it will?

Someone who knows for sure will chime in...

For 50 bucks I would go ahead and buy it, put the right plug on it and try it.
Is it for sure a 48v charger?

... a Lestronics II charger utilizes an automatic timer to function and not the OBC . . . CC Powerdrive chargers are made by Lester Electronics, but are designed to communicate with the OBC . . .

Only if you re-wire your new cart (bypass entire OBC) so that the $50 timer/charger (vs original CC computer controlled charger) is compatible. People on this site can tell you how to do that - but - only you can decide if that's what you want.

Honestly, I would just try to find a PD1 charger. Look in the for sale section on here and craigslist.
