Default Interstate Battery Question

Any one have any experience with them? My brother has a contact and he can get me 8V 260AH for 114.00 each.

Interstate golf cart batts are made in Mexico. A lot of Mexican batteries are melting the lead posts out of the top of the battery. I think Dekka and US Battery are the only American golf cart batteries left.

not with 8v's but I have 6v's and love them.......so far anyway! lol I have U2200's

HOWEVER, I would have a concern considering the AH rating quoted......as 8v batteries have a smaller rating than 6v's.....seeing as how they have more cells and thus storage capacity. so something is amiss.

Is that a good price? I have a guy who sells the trojan 6V 170AH for 105.00 but he looks at me like a deer in the headlights when I ask about the 8V 260AH.

Can you provide a picture or a model no. for these batteries? The interstate battery web site shows 4 models of 8v batteries with the highest Ah (@ 20) of 183.

I am working to get the model number from him. When I tried to look it up I came up with the same results. I gave the specs (8V260AH) that I waas looking for to my brother. He sent a text this morning with a price of 114.00 stating they were the specs I was after.

I do not believe a 8V 260AH battery exists. Or at least from my research, the highest AH rated 8V Golf Cart battery on the market is the Trojan Ranger 160. which is rated at 204AH.

The highest published AH rating I have found for an Interstate 8V GC battery is the GC8-XHD which is rated at 183AH.

I like my Interstates and they have the same AH rating and are also 8 volt. I did however only pay $100. each when I purchased 6. Guessing they are the same model. I also have a great relation at local cart store so that might help the price.
