PQ Bandit motor Questions
I have a 2005 Precedent PQ05...... vin number.
It has a 6 inch lift with 22 inch tires. speed code 3 was hitting 19.5 mph. Installed speed magnet and I get about 21 mph on flat ground. Will the PQ Bandit motor be much better for the $225? are their any other motors that will work with the stock wires, controller? I would like to see 25mph with more torque. any other ways to get more torque without spending a ton of $$$$? would it be better to just get a new controller? or wires? or ??? I just don't want to spend a ton and not get much better than I have. Thanks |

Re: PQ Bandit motor Questions
I think the Bandit says you will get 25 mph on a stock cart with no regen braking, so you should easily reach 25 I would think...

Re: PQ Bandit motor Questions
I did a Bandit rebuild of my stock AMD 7/11 HP 36/48 volt series motor on my Western Elegante (EZGO Platform) 42 volt system (7-6v T-105s) a few years back with then stock 400 amp controller, stock solenoid, stock 6 gauge wire, stock 18 inch tires and did 24 mph (per Speedhut GPS Speedometer). With your tires and lighter frame I would expect no problems reaching 25 mph. The Bandit upgrade is still purring along with now new SD Solenoid, rebuilt higher amp controller and 2 gauge wire. Next step is 48 volt system (6-8v) when my T-105s need to be replaced.

Re: PQ Bandit motor Questions
There are 'other motors', but none that will do as much for the money that a Plum Quick Bandit upgrade can do. I would guess that you won't find a new replacement motor for less than $ 550 and it won't be close to a Bandit re-build's performance for torque and speed. Call Plumquick and run a few of your concerns by them. They have a top notch team there. You can, of course, also e-mail them.
