well... no luck on getting the motor off the shaft. I cant imagine what is keeping it on there unless maybe there is some kind of retainer lock ring or something. None the less .... a pal of mine at a local cart shop came up with another rear end out of a newer cart that he was scrapping and another motor for me. So we will see how that goes. Thanks to everyone for all the input on the stuck motor issue.

. . . now that you have a spare rear/motor, try pounding the crap out of the axel to see if motor drops off . . there is nothing holding it on but it's determination not to come off . . .

Steve, the old rear and motor remains have been tossed on the junk pile at the cart shop. My pal took it out and already had the new one in for me. with the new/used rear and motor, its running 19 mph on my GPS with the small tires (205/50/10) still on it and lifted. But thanks for the support.
