I used to work on office equipment. If a machine got wet it could be saved if we got it while it was still wet. I would do a complete disassemble, clean and dry everything down to the screws and springs. Then submerge the rest in mineral sprits and oil mixture. When the equipment cost 4-5 k, it was worth spending 3-4 hundred on.

I guess if this was easy everybody would have a tricked out golf cart ! Thanks for support jake ! Tool and die maker by trade I think I can break a bolt or two loose . Might not know crap about electrical but I want to learn ... So a little encouragement goes a long way ! Thanks

Yukon, Good luck with the build. I bought my first cart - 98 DS -for $175 and literally had my neighbor help me.drag it out of the lady's woods with his truck. Turned out to be a really nice cart. Def start thinking about axle and motor bearings. Drain whatever is in the rear end and replace. Get the brake assemblies cleaned up good if they haven't already rusted. They dont operate well once they do
