Default Drive shaft coupler/adapter?

Hello all. I am looking to adapt the output shaft from an EZ-Go's motor to drive a go-kart live axle. To do that, I need some way to adapt the 16-spline driveshaft to a chain-drive sprocket. I can't for the life of me find the right size part/adapter.

The output shaft is 16 splines, approx 11/16 diameter (17mm)

Ideally, I'd be able to find a sprocket for a #35 roller chain, or some adapter to a make it fit 1'' diameter sprocket hub.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

well first of all....you need to realize that there is NO BEARING on that end of the motor. the motors rotor is supported by the bearing of the input shaft of the differential.

I have employed a friend with a machine shop and lathe skills to build me an adaptor.

If it works, I may have her make a small batch of them, since there seems to be no standard source for such things, even in the less reputable parts of the internet.
