There’s often one on the fan cover near the back of the motor with a manufacture date. But often times it’s worn or peeled off.

You have to align the marks on the camshaft to the crank when you install the camshaft. A tooth off is all it takes

I had no idea about that. I guess I need to take the motor back out again. Would this cause the issue of not running?

I had no idea about the camshaft timing. I can guarantee thats not lined up. Unless 100% luck. Thats good news and bad, hopefully that is it and I dont have to buy a replacement motor. But I'm getting tired of pulling the motor in and out of this cart. Hopefully third times a charm.

This is what cam looks like if it has ACR. I assume you would have noticed this though.
Good luck

I can't tell from looking at the picture. I would have to see the camshaft. What exactly was broke on this engine ? and how did you fix it ?

The rivets were broke that spun the gear on the camshaft. I split the motor, put machine screws in to replace the broken rivets. Put it back together and it didnt run and leaked oil like crazy. I then heard I needed to put three bond around the new gasket to keep it from leaking. I pulled the motor back out, split it again and put it back together this time with three bond gasket sealer. No leaks now, but still doesn't run. I wish I knew about the timing dots before I put it back together and in the cart.
