96 DS 48v w/alltrax jumps but wont go

96 ds 48400 alltrax will only jump then stops. I pack load tested it with 9v meter and it jumped but then wouldnt go.I started testing each battery by itself under load and when I got to the 3rd batt in back it took off. That battery was low on d-water so filled and now charging.

any thoughts On what my problem might be?

Why would the cart run when I connected the Multimeter to the battery terminals on just one of the batteries in the pack and hit the pedal ?

You gave no information about the batteries. Are they new? Sort of sounds like a bad cable or terminal and when you had the meter on it, it made the connection. Just a guess and I've already commenced post work beverages so I could be way off lol. If you have figured it out, please share so that anybody else that has the same issue may find an answer when searching.
