Question 2002 g22e

I just got a 2002 g22e and was wandering if all of them are slow or is there something wrong with this one. It only goes about 12 mph. A friend said they have more torque and less speed. I'm lost as a ball in high weeds when it comes to carts, but I'm a quick learner.

Thanks

Welcome Bevdan! Go to a Yamaha golf cart dealer and ask the to change the "regen" setting for you. I can't tell you how much they will charge, but should be shop minimum. You could disconnect the pick up wire lead from the motor to the wire harness, but, that would make you lose anti runaway and regenitive braking. You could replace the motor with a high speed one, but you should change out the controller also (controller with a higher amp rating), thats high dollars. Good luck Dave

I have already unplugged the wire from the motor, but didn't see a big change.
