Default 91 Marathon Parts

I just bought a 91 Gas Marathon for $100. It ran a year ago but has been sitting since. I am getting power past the ignition and over to the starter solenoid but when I push the accelerator pedal I get nothing. I can get the starter to crank over with a screw driver at the solenoid but it barley spins the engine and the cart tries to move before firing up. I'm pretty sure I have a few things to replace but I'm not sure where to start. The switch at the pedal maybe and then move down the line?

Sounds like a microswitch is not working. It also sounds like the drive clutch is sticking closed.

You said 91. Is it a 2 stroke or a 4 stroke?

2 stroke, the oil tank has been deleted and the PO just mixed the gas. What can I do about the clutch besides replace it? Best place to buy the "right" microswitch?

Troubleshoot your switches first. The key switch, pedal microswitch, and FWD/Reverse microswitch are all hooked in series with each other. Jump each one to see if that is the problem.

I drilled the rivets out of mine, cleaned the contacts, and pop riveted it back together. I didn't buy one.
You might try spraying your clutch with a penetrating lube, and working it in and out by hand.
