You can do it. Most of us have.
Before you do it though, Go to the troubleshooting section of the manual. It will give you all of the values to look for in the ignition system. It might just be a bad coil, or plug wire. The HEI is usually done to replace the ignitor because of the cost. If you do it, the red and blue wires from the pulsar may need to be swapped. It runs better one way. The HEI modules must be different depending on the source. |

Ok. So I found several wires that were chewed in two. Got everything temporarily spliced in. When I am sure it is worth the time I am going to go in and fix a lot of the wiring. It is in bad shape.
So I got it running today. Problem is that it never moved. Any suggestions? |

It's a vent line. It doesn't attach to anything.

That first picture is the cable for the governor. It can be removed.
Put the cart up on blocks, and run it. See if the clutches are squeezing in, and out. The drive clutch on the engine squeezes together. The driven clutch opens up. |
