running fine then lugs down and then ran fine

I was riding just now and it lugged down really bad all most to the point of the motor lugging out I was only a few blocks from the house so I was like it will blow or go. I stayed in it and it would ease up and run and lug back down and then it finally freed up and run fine the rest of the way home. I checked the compression and it has not dropped any the starter motor turns both ways. it will fire up and run like nothing ever happened but I know it did something I just wanna know what it was. has any of yall ever herd or Thad this happen to you?

I've had clutches acting up before. Take the cover off, have a passenger observe them as you drive it. Take a video and post it here if you think something is odd.
