Need help from those who have rebuilt a 295/350, balancer shaft endplay
So we are rebuilding my Robin 295, my brother tore down the motor while i was not around. We noticed that the crank has the endplay spacer, but the balancer shaft doesn't. He said he never saw one but its possible he lost it cleaning the balancer.
Anyways my question is I saw they sell 3 different sizes, .8mm, 1mm, and 1.2mm. Should there only be one spacer or do they stack? We installed the end cover and pushed the balancer back and forth through the oil pump area and got a 2.1mm endplay back and forth. Manual calls for .003-.015" Should I just order the biggest (1.2mm) bushing and call it a day or must I stack more then one to get a tighter clearance? Anyone have this problem before? |
