Fall ran, Spring nothing (replaced battery)
My cart ran going into winter storage but is now DOA.
It's a gas EZ Go 04'. I kept the old battery on a conditioner over the winter seemed to hold 12.58 vdc, but because I just got the cart last year and don't know the total condition of the battery (amongst other things) I bought a replacement but kept the old one too. I had a guy go through it and it worked for the last 4 months leading up until winter now in the spring it's dead and I'm rather new to golf cart maintenance (I know run away from this post)... anyway, I don't get a micro-switch click when I partially press the accelerator. I've cleaned the POS and NEG posts and lugs, obviously turned the ignition switch on, although I haven't tested it.. I suppose that's a place to start but I'm just curious on what to try first? Thanks in advance, sorry for being a N00b in advance as well. |

Re: Fall ran, Spring nothing (replaced battery)
Next to the battery there is a black cover rectangular in shape. The starter solenoid, volt regulator and a fuse are located there. Look carefully, often one of the wires, usually to the fuse will break. But any one of those connections can be corroded and be giving you grief. There is also a switch on the throttle located in a box under the mat that activates the starter solenoid. It can/will corrode also. You are on the right track.
Make sure that your new battery is also charged up. Last edited by ORTitan; 05-04-2017 at 06:05 PM.. Reason: speeling |

And I did clean off the solenoid, fuse, all the other heavily mucked up areas. Thanks for your help! |
