The two stroke G1 engine is notorious for bad crank seals. If you look behind the clutch you will probably see oil next to the crank shaft. If it's leaking oil, then they are leaking compression. Likely need to replace both crank seals. It's not an easy job, you have to disassemble the flywheel on the opposite side.

Once you do the crank seals if it doesn't run better, look at the piston rings. Check compression at wide open throttle position. You should be around 120psi. or better.

Also, too much oil will surely foul the plug. Take your plug out and see if it's oil soaked. Clean it and run it, check the plug after. If it's oil soaked, you're mix is too oil rich. Factory oil injector mixes at between 150:1 and 300:1. Most of us disable the oil injector and premix our fuel. The ratio I ended up with was 100:1 and that worked well with no smoke or oil on the plug.

Sounds like you are overheating. Take off your engine shroud and make sure all of the cooling fins are clean. As well, make sure that all of the air passage ways are clear in and out of the shroud and that there is nothing else going on to prevent good air flow.

The CDI modules on these carts are heat sensitive as well. When they get old they will fail when they get hot then run again when they cool down.

To eliminate the muffler as the problem, you can just take it off and run the cart around for awhile. It will be loud but won't hurt anything short term.

Good suggestion! I forgot mine was caked with mud when I got it. No one ever takes the shrouds off to clean the fins.
