Default 2010 Yamaha Drive Gas Problem

2010 Yamaha Drive Gas Cart has a horrible noise coming from what seems to be the clutch.

Here is the link of the noise

First, carefully check the starter/generator brackets for cracks. Like also apply pressure on them with a screwdriver to see if you can modify the noise. It's a common problem that can easily be mistaken for transmission problems.

If that doesnt get you anywhere, its gonna be an internal governor & input shaft problem (which you really aren't gonna like).

When I spin the clutch with my hand I can hear and feel something lose internally. When I get up to a certain speed i hear the noise then it stops once I release the pedal and slows down so much. Is that the input shaft you are talking about? It’s like whatever is lose inside the clutch is bouncing off the internal walls as it spins.

Yes. Input shaft. But I would still check those brackets, you will be really upset if you spend several hundred dollars "fixing" the axle, then find that the brackets are broken.
