Default G29 Drive

Greetings & salutations,

Just purchased a 14 G29 Drive, seems to run well. This is my first cart so be gentle folks (haha) The rear seat cushion wood base is rotted, where can I procure a replacement? All I've found so far is complete rear seat assemblies for $270 and up.

Is there an online parts/service manual available? What's a good source for parts/accessories?

Cheers,

Jane & Geoff

Congrats on the new ride

Rotted wood is pretty common. As long as most of it is there your most cost effective fix would be to remove all the staples and pull the wood off. It may be glued to the foam underneath but its usually just a couple strips of glue.

Use the wood as a template to trace onto a piece of 5/8 plywood. Cut it out, sand the edges and staple the cover back on. Good as new

If you've got any shops around you that do "builds", they may have decent but used "take off" seat cushions fairly cheap.

Just about every shop that sells carts has/knows a trimmer who does their custom seats. They can steer you in the right direction.

And here's link to yamaha parts catalog, but it wont likely have parts for your rear seat, even if it's from yamaha (those are considered "accessories", and are not well covered in the parts catalog).

The newer rear facing seat cushions use plastic bases. Much better. Might try a site sponsor or a web search for just the seat cushions, they are available.
