Default After half throttle

I have a 1993 Yamaha g9, the problem I have having I after half throttle it just falls on its face and goes back to intial start up I can then push pedal back down to half throttle and runs perfectly but once it goes past half it just stops again, any help on this would be highly appreciated. I've put on a new pulsar coil due to the wires being melted

Welcome!
Does it run at all after the half-throttle point? For instance spit & sputter, or backfire? Could be fuel - check fuel filter, lines, pump. Haven’t run into problems with the pedal switch cutting out like that, but that seems like a possibility.

Should have added that I pulled the tank, changed the filter added a inline filter and replaced the fuel pump

i do lots of motorcycle and atv gas work.

it sounds like its starving for fuel, will the engine rev without a load on it?
Will it rev high with the choke on?
if it sputters after idle when moving into mid range, the pilot jet/ emulsion tub in the carb is clogged easy fix

Same impression I get. Carb is simple enough to go through, there’s a couple YouTube videos on Yamaha golf cart carbs. ( and of course any other topic!)

Before going in circles, chasing things down, make 1000% sure the airbox lid is COMPLETELY sealed. If even one of those rubber band things is off or broken it will run like that.

Zip ties work well to replace broken rubber bands

On my G2 my kids hit a branch and cracked the airbox where the front mount clips in. Ran awful. These carts are very specifically tuned to run on the complete OEM airbox. Any little air leaks make a huge difference.

^^^^^ Is there a way to count the number of times you have posted that same thing? It should be a sticky....... Things to check first if your cart is running poorly!

KKJ, I saw new air box assemblies on e-bay in various stages of completeness. Depending on how bad yours is in you could probably grab one of the cheaper options (still not cheap) and piece yours back together.
