secondary clutch get hot on G2

I installed new secondary clutch on G2 , it gets hot after running about ten min.
dont know if this is normal , the new clutch has a heavier spring (red) that does not have holes to set in.

What kind of temp are we talking?

Some heat is normal, the belt relies on friction to work properly with the clutch sheaves, so yes there will be heat.

If you're belt is smoking.....there is something wrong.

hot enough to fingers, but not smoking hot. I know it will generate some heat , it just seems to hot to me. Old clutch was worn out, (metal to metal) , and it didn't seem to have the top end or power when going up a hill , i installed new one thinking it would solve the problem, but still don't seem to have the top end speed or power or when climbing a hill ?
it has a little rattle when trying to pull a hill or turning while pushing full throttle.

Put the cart up on jack stands and run the cart while watching the clutches. Look to see if the clutches are shifting out all the way. The primary clutch should close all the way, the belt should ride nearly all the way to the top. The secondary should open all the way, the belt riding all the way to the bottom. Post a video if you aren't sure.
