Default G16 winch and other things

If everything goes right there will be pics. I mounted a 2000# winch under the cowl of our G16. Fabricated a mounting plate from 1/8 in steel--it's what I had--and a couple of angle brackets for the bumper bolts. Leaving the cowl on made the job much more tedious. And since the bumper bolts hold it on nothing could be tightened up until the bumper was in place. The fairlead is bolted thru the bumper with a spacer on the thru bolt made of 1/2 in pipe.

The fairlead is below the level of the winch and the cable is rubbing slightly on the mount. I'm going to trim the front edge of the mount and raise the back of the winch mount. That will help the angle of the cable. I should have mounted the winch a little bit forward, but too late now.

Also installed new seat covers--was going to paint the seats, but I'm SOOOO happy with the way the covers came out. Thanks Gorno Installed seat belts, painted the top black, added a fuse block w/ relay, and a horn.

I've had the cart up here in N Va for 3 weeks so I finally had time to do stuff to it. It goes back to SW Va in a week or so. Construction on my new shop (down there) should start after the holiday weekend. I can't wait

Thanks Mike The seat covers came from CCP. Nice quality and easy to install. I was going to get covers with a red stripe down the middle, but didn't want to get too fancy

That's the stock front bumper. The only thing I don't like is the angle of the cable from spool to the fairlead on the bumper. This winch will see only very limited use.
