Default Governor

Well I had some bad luck on an 91 w/3PG I took the nut off for the governor shaft to see if the it had a bearing in it! It came out that it does and in the process the shaft fell in the rear end.took the rear end out and the bearing for the governor was shot. Just for your FYI go to your local bearing shop and they will have the bearing and seals that you need to complete the job? Good Luck

This looks like the bushing for the govenor shaft... It's expensive as hell though.

Also, When I looked at the shaft on my cart, the shaft itself is worn out where it pivots in the bushing. You might want to look a litlle closer at yours. The only way to fix that would be to have a machine shop build it back up by welding and re machining

I did not think that this would cost that much. I did have the enter brass bushing of that nut change and the bearing in the top shaft for the shaft was less than $3:00 at our local bearing & seal store

I know this is an old thread. But do you have a diagram on how the little governor arm goes? I dropped mine in also. Was able to fish it back to the to the top. Don't know which way to turn it. I tighten the nut down and the shaft locks up.
