Default Ezgo go golf cart getting to much gas

I have rebuilt the whole engine, replaced fuel pump and carb. When you start it it will over load the carb and flood out. It done the same thing with the old carb and before I rebuilt it. You can shut the gas flow off and it will run perfect till it runs the bowl dry. Any suggestion is welcome

Your carb float is having issues.
It could hanging up on the gasket, or its out of adjustment,
or there is debris in the needle seat, Or gummed open,
or the seat or needle is worn out, or the floats have a hole in them,
Or the needle or float is installed wrong.
Take your carb off clean it and use the book to inspect adjust it.

I had the same problem. Bought a $22 carb off amazon and it runs like new. Hardly have to choke it (the cart) anymore.

How do you know it's the carburetor flooding the engine?

It could very easily be a ripped diaphragm in the fuel pump. That would inject gas directly into the crankcase.

EDIT: After reading your other posts, I see that you had an electric fuel pump. Did you ever get rid of it?

Pulled carb off and checked to see if I have suction on the intake and I do...Reviews on these 25 and 40 dollar carbs thru amazon are pretty poor which is what I bought. Wonder if buying a $155.00 carb from ezgo might be better !!

Most electric pumps put out too much pressure for small engine carbs.
They override the ability of the float and needle seat to shut off fuel.
This will flood the engine.

If you are using an electrical pump you need a pressure regulator or an ultra low pressure pump.
Imo ultra low pressure rattle pumps suck.

Recommend fixing stock pump or converting to one of the cheap mikuni diaphragm pumps.

Since you already have the electric you will need to purchase a low fuel pressure adjustable regulator. Install it and set it to the minimum pressure. Should be trouble free after that.
Most auto parts stores carry them.
Warning Make sure it is the low pressure not high pressure regulator. They carry both for older carbs. One sets in pounds with the bottom setting like 4 pounds witch is still too much. The other in half pounds all they way down to .5 psi.
